In memoriam of ah ma.

I will not lie and say that we were close.
However ah ma was the only living grand parent I have known.
Was making plans the night before to visit ah ma at the hospital as well.
I was more concerned for my dad instead when I received the SMS from him on Wednesday Morning before heading off to work,
He took a direct morning flight back from Ho Chin Minh, and I heard that he was the last one to take a last look at ah ma before they closed the casket.
That would be one thing my bro and I kinda regret, we didn't know that the family wouldn't want to embalm her or we would have rushed down to take a final look as well.
I could see my dad was a little disappointed that we didn't let our side of family know about the passing of his mother, however certain issues will always have consequences. I guess he does not know it yet.
All in all , I am thankful ah ma passed away peacefully.
And she of course will be in my memories.

Time
Time, as you all know is very important, precious, a gift and can never be bottled and kept at near reach.Sometimes, we tend to take time for granted and push off what we can do today for tomorrow.
Sometimes,we do our best to compact our day's work in a small segment of time so that we have extra time later on , however not very much quality time due to the exhaustion.
How important is time to you?
DO you judge it by a day?
An hour?
A minute or a second?
What makes you take that extra cab and fork out money so that you will get there faster?
For me, PLENTY of things.
A meeting with a friend, to collect something , to arrive earlier and such.
To others it may be a big waste of money, but think about this:
-Every minute I spend traveling to you is another minute missed out with you.
-Every minute I make someone wait for me to collect something is another minute giving that idle time to formulate gossip in their idle minds about the reputation of me/my job.
-That extra half an hr to sleep or get ready can prevent so many unwanted stress later on in the day.
Usually time cannot be bought, so in any case that you can actually use monetary value in exchange for the ticking clock, be grateful.
So the next time, I give you the time of my day, be honored.
For my time is precious, needed and important.
The Time Traveler's Wife Official Trailer.
Made me go read the book.
And it really wasn't bad.
Just makes you realise how important time with someone is.
Coz one day you might be there,
the next you're not.

So busy
View through my sun shades.
I am so busy that it's not even funny -.-
My bf has been complaining non-stop of how he doesn't even get to hold a conversation on the phone or a sms session with me longer than 15 mins.
As most of you may know I am currently aggressively selling flea stalls for the Fashionista Series @ SMU.
After the stalls are sold out, the aggressive marketing will start.
On top of that, the H1N1 thing is not exactly making life at school a cup of tea, you should see all the neon stickers (when we register to get into the school, we need a sticker to make sure we're ok) on our clothes / bags at the end of the day man.
Except my school, prolly only a few practice that, I usually just walk in and wave my pass as they know who I am already.
Not to mention the audits I have to do T_T AIYO.
Good thing is my call center job allows me to do one day one week, so yea.
Something you all maybe won't know about me is that no matter how tired I am , I have to bum around watch shows/read stuff for about an hour or so, then I will actually feel like sleeping, so a day usually goes about work, maybe meet bf or more work then go home and bum a bit, then sleep.
By bum around, I mean "me time" as in I spend time on my own only, not on the phone with anyone, not talking to anyone, just spending time on my pwn do stupid shit, sometimes watch shows / read books/ play games/ do handicraft stuff or fill out my schedule book and such.
Blogging may also happen to be some me time, but at the moment, I am so busy I sometimes forget what the hell I wanted to blog about.
Some "me time" at AMK's coffee bean while waiting for bf.
Sometimes I get so inspired by some stupid thing and I immediately want to blog about it but alas I can't coz I'm on the go.
Wished I'd gotten that blackberry then!
Today, I went for this briefing at JJC, got stationed at the entrance to take temperature. Worrying that most OMs will not bring their registration forms and cause a jam in the drive way, I walked out towards the road under the hot sun holding out forms. Turns out most of them didn't bring as well -.-|||
After that went back office then out to AMK, meet bf to walk around. He stopped and talked to a friend he bumped into and I went to wander around the mall, suddenly someone jumped out at me and I was so surprised la.
Turned out it was Syafiqah! HAHAHAHA, caught me at a good time too! SHe was heading out for dinner so I accompanied her since my BF was busy talking away with his friend.
HEEHEEHEE! GOOD CHAT! Bf kept calling us gossip girls. HAHAHAHAHAHHA.
Ah well, got a photoshoot, jobs, friends ,aunts, hopefully an outing with dad, 21st birthdays and bf on the cards these few weeks. Gotta manage my time better!
Cya!

sentiments on current issues
Recently I have been following the on goings of N.Korea like glue. When I'm in the call center, I would take few mins to peek at channel News asia to see what the hell have they been up to.
And usually, the thought always run through my head about what the hell would I do if a nuclear war was declared and about to break out as I sat there.
I guess my first reaction will be to rip off my head set and go home to be with my loved ones.
Imagine my incredulity and amusement when CNN/BCC news reported that N.korea had a ship with suspected arms on it heading towards Singapore.
I was seriously VERY amused, albeit the severity if any provocation was to ensue.
What do we have here in tiny SG for them? Why come to us? As though we got anything to give them, or will help them like that.
Many a times, when situations like these unfold, I couldn't help but wish I was there at ground zero to take in the atmosphere and actually BE there to do something or witness it.
Take the Mumbai terrorist hi-jacking the hotel issue.
Wonder what I was in my past life to actually have such a natural inclination/yearning for these things.
So I take it you all can guess what I contemplated being when I was growing up right.
Much to my relative's horror. HAHAHAHA
Saw this video on tomorrow.sg about Singapore Soldiers in Afghanistan. It is definitely worth a look.

GARLIC CHILLI IS BACK!

HAHAHA
GARLIC CHILLI IS BACK!
IT IS EFFING BACK!
WOHOOOOOOOOO! Eat my shorts!
Since that day Don msg me telling me that McDonald's garlic chili is back, I was raring to go to McD's just to check it out for myself.
Went to have dinner today at AMK's branch JUST for the sake of finding out whether it was true.
Was quite disappointed when they still pointed me to the dispensing machines with the label "chili sauce". Thought it was still the same chili! Thus , I immediately called Don to bite his ear off, halfway through, my BF came back grinning with the sauce dishes filled to the brim with orange garlic chili.
HAHAHAHAHA! SORRY & THANK YOU DON!
WOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Things at McD's just taste better now.
I guess I would start patronising McDonald's sit in restaurants again.

GARLIC CHILI!!!!!!!

the weather is gorgeous.
The weather is gorgeous, no I kid you not. I LOVE stormy nights, they make lying in bed that extra special. Then why am I not in bed you ask?
COZ I HAVE A FREAKING HEADACHE T_T. I don't know what happen too!!
Now I am rummaging around the house for all the leftover medication I find and actually pulled out two likely candidates, however being me, I am freaking kiasee.
Went to google the two drug usages. So far very dumb assed leh! Both say for pain, but what type of pain??! headaches counted a not??!
mefenamic acid & suniton
OH WOE! I almost felt like ringing up geeko, he's a medic, DUH" but him being him with his finicky PMS-y syndrome of his 8hr slp cycle, he might just tell me to eat an excess of that drug in his mild stupor and rage of being woken up so late.
No one to cry to so came here to whine.
WHERE THE FISH IS THE PANADOL WHEN YOU NEED IT.
K I go find now. BYE.
P.S: enjoy the night's weather!
EDIT at 2.36am:
PS, I FOUND ANAREX IN THE FRIDGE! WOOOH! specifically for headache only from that time I chao keng at MP to get an MC with Geeko and EH. HAHAHHAA, Taking a look at the back of the tab, I found out it was the bloody same as suniton lor. WTF. Make me run around.

Cartoons
Guess what I've been watching lately?

=) HEEE!!!!! I am currently SUPER INFATUATED with this stick dude. I literally break out in smiles when I see him on screen.

AHAHAHA! Yes, you got that right, it's Foster's home for imaginary friends!
My bf asked me recently what is up with me and imaginary friends. Well, nothing leh, just so happens the cartoons/films I like have them la!
I find that whenever I am feeling crappy, lonely , homesick, unwell, restless, sad, happy or whatever, I like to watch cartoons and have to eat something while I'm watching.
Just like Ted in HIMYM, he watches starwars when he's everything, I watch cartoons, specifically The Simpsons and Futurama.
Just like the other day when I had an appraisal , it wasn't bad at all , but I just felt a little niggling over an issue and even though it was just about 1 or 2 hrs to my work at the call center, I barreled home to watch the Simpsons with BK for an hr just to make myself feel better.
Currently I am trying to find this cartoon:
The Amazing Adrenalini Brothers
They speak some weird language la, but I like that stupid character ENK, the dude that looks like a PILL with a nose and stick arms and leg along with it.
You can read about the brothers here.
I like his stupid screaming and actions la, along with his personality that his talent is looking cute. LOL

Enk for the win!
Hahahaha, I am off to watch some show or the other.

New beginings
Well well well.It has been hectic. I have quite a number of stuff to catch up on.
A piece of news though.
My new job requires me to visit clubs/venues.
Thus , I decided to organise my very own SPRING BREAK SG version.
The lucky person to be dragged along would be Jacq as I want to save as much money as possible and that would be hitting the clubs on ladies' night. =3
Rather thrilling prospect on chronicling our escapades, even though Jacq has yet to agree but I'm sure I can sweet-talk /bribe her/negotiate a sweet deal with her yeas?
Will come up with a list soon.
Have yet to blog about dinner with Charles & my company's 10th year anniversary!
Note to self:
- Ask bf for his days off
- Submit work schedule
- Look through proposals by sat
- ITINERY!!!!!!!!!
- CLEAN BLOODY ROOOM
- TECH AUDIT T_T [@U#()!I#()@!#]
- Call MR LEE of Kai
- Call ANDY to notify him faxed already.
- SAFETY AUDIT
- INVENTORY LIST
- SPUR!!!!!
Ok, will be back when I've got a bit more time.

plenty of things in march
I haven't been updating much about my personal life except when it comes to other fiddly diddly stuff like interests ( TV!TV!)PLENTY of stuff accumulated, just that every time I got down to type, I'd get a writer's block.
Well, let's start off with quite awhile ago, we celebrated someone's birthday.

Guess who. HAH!
You dumb asshole, you know we love you and we don't actually forget that you do have a bday but next time just say that you want us to rmb instead of discouraging us. Anyway, you are ayear older I hope you actually know how to think more rationally now, may not happen in an instant but whne time comes I hope you see it.
ANything you do, I just hope you're happy la. SO! Happy belated birthday.
----------------------------------------------
All the way at Changi Airport. We had Popeye's, a drink at McCafe and rolled home with Jerry getting all pissy in a hissy fit at me. @()#*@)(#_()#ANything you do, I just hope you're happy la. SO! Happy belated birthday.
----------------------------------------------
I heard he had to go at 9.30 PM, in the end its REACH at 9.30PM and I was like WUUUTTTT. And he was like, "!()@*)(@*#)@#(_(#!(" at me already.
nehnehpok.
And AFTER this person's birthday, I had 2 more celebrations at another date!
First up on that date was:
XH!
We all went to Kushinbo at Suntec for lunch!
Ate till we were gonna burst at the seams.

Funny how we always take for granted that sushi rolls are rolled and placed there for us right? Until at Kushinbo, we found we had to roll them ourselves as they prepared it with a plastic sheet to maintain the seaweed's crispiness.
Don and HL had so much trouble! HAHAHAHA!I am the champion sushi roll roller.
Btw, take a look at Don & HL's bid at sushi advertising -.-

Not bad la hor? XD
Next up on the agenda was to find a place to chill out. We braved the wind and rain to run all the way to Haji Lane.
First stop was this shisha cafe which we left sooner than we expected due to the sudden throng of smokers.

XH, Di & I scooted off first as we couldn't stand the smell of the ciggy smoke any longer. We ran around the street shopping.

After seeing these pics, I am really starting to ask whether is it my camera exposure too high or are we really that white o.O

Going OM. Our favourite ok. We were waiting for it to open, but when we arrived at around 6pm it was JUST opening only and not ready yet so we went to Bussorah street where XH introduced us the Children little museum!

The uncle was so steady ok. He was kinda excited he had such a big group at the place.

Why is HL's butt facing me all the time -.-|||
Entry fee is 2 bucks each, and you're lead through this little space, up to this entire room full of nostalgic toys and items that kids used to play with or were part of childhood last time!!

They even had this facade of an old school on one of their walls along with old school report books, IDs and such.

The pictures of HL bonking a air-inflated horse are in FB as well. HAHAHAHAHA

The uncle also gave us the LITTLE NYONYA experience la. HAHAHAHAHA

We were SO amused please. The uncle was so damn enthu, though he speaks rather loudly but he already told us that that is how he converses la so if he comes upon rude, forgive him.

GRP SHOT! Missing quite a few though, mike gotta leave earlier and as for the rest, I heard it was for NS related stuff =|

This damn old fridge is still working ok. I was so damn surprised, and I immediately wished I could have one as well.

Happy 21st XH!
Yet another unexpected pleasant surprise in my life~
Who was to know we'd only start hanging out more often after sec sch?
May all good things befall you such as the loveliest of weather on your travels and your wish for $$$$! Not to forget may all your future plans take flight and stay pretty forever!
XOXO

I had to leave XH's party earlier as I had to attend Julius' 21st chalet!
Again, BF & I braved through rain and wind to get to his chalet.
A pity Jen couldn't join us though, her presence was missed.

Happy birthday dude!
Cheers to actually finding a good buddy in an IS class. What are the odds that you just turned around and started talking to us.
I sincerely hope you'll be happy always, and things will go smoothly for you in life and future endeavors!
Keep rocking and keeping a smile on your face!
P.S: The others in you camp are F-ed up, turn your blind side on em. Rmb, you're the bigger person.

On a side note, I have recently gotten my first own personal insurance policy.
The thick folder safely tucked away now. Kind of.... a step in my life actually as I traced the hard cover and embossment of letters on it, a scary one as in I am so much closer to actually be an adult fending for myself.
=\ Dad will be paying off the first few years for me. We needed to start as early as possible as the older you get, the higher the premium you have to pay.
The best thing about this policy I got was that I only need to pay for 15 years and get covered for life.
My dad does plan things out for us to a T. What with the education savings and now insurance. And I am very grateful for that, its just that planned to TOO much of a detail you know?
He was telling me that he expects me to be working full-time in a high rank position in the next 5 years.
And recently I was flipping the pages to take a look at how recession proof my future degree is, apparently it looks bleak. I am starting to get cold feet and wanted to talk to him about the possibility of changing it but he already went overseas already.
So I messaged an ex-lecturer on FB about it since she worked in the industry before and she was telling me quite a bit of things which did lift my anxiety a little.
I have still have so many things I want to do but always there will be obstacles or choices I have to make.
Oh well. Till the next time, see you!
